Seshen — Yuri Murayama

Japan

Originally from Japan, Seshen — Yuri Murayama — is an artist of voice and movement. With Seshen & Friends, she creates improvised performances inspired by natural phenomena, bringing together singing, gestures and acoustic instruments. Koshi chimes take part in this sensitive universe, between listening, bodily expression and dialogue with nature. Her artistic work explores in particular vocal improvisation, movement and the relationship between the body and natural landscapes.

Margrete Grarup

Denmark

Originally from Aalborg, Denmark, Margrete Grarup is a singer with a deep and expressive voice, whose musical world spans jazz, blues, soul and gospel. In her performances with Grarup Allstars, Koshi chimes bring a crystalline and delicate touch, in subtle contrast with the warmth and power of her voice.

Zi De Guqin Studio

Shanghai, China

Based in Shanghai, Zi De Guqin Studio brings musicians together around the guqin and other traditional Chinese instruments. Through refined interpretations staged within the aesthetics of ancient China, the ensemble creates a dialogue between musical heritage and contemporary sensibility. Koshi chimes find their way into this delicate universe, where each timbre contributes to the poetry of the ensemble. The studio was founded in 2014 and became known well beyond China through its videos dedicated to traditional Chinese instruments.

Laboratorium Pieśni is a female vocal ensemble founded in Poland in 2013. Through polyphonic singing, its artists bring traditional songs from different cultures to life, blending them with vocal improvisation, percussion and acoustic instruments. Koshi chimes accompany some of their creations, adding their crystalline resonances to an intuitive, organic musical world deeply connected to nature.

Marie Josée Vermette

Canada

Marie Josée Vermette is a Canadian musician, singer, percussionist and sound healing artist. As part of Sacred Fire, the duo she forms with Dean Richards, she develops a vibrant music combining voice, percussion and Celtic, tribal and worldbeat influences. Koshi chimes naturally find their place in this universe, where sound becomes a path towards presence, expression and inner connection.

Guillaume Duchesneau (HOLOS)

With Holos, Quebec musician Guillaume Duchesneau composes contemplative music at the meeting point of silence, voice and acoustic instruments. On the album Océona, Koshi chimes blend with violin, guitar and voices to create broad soundscapes conducive to inner listening and meditation.
